Frequently Asked Questions

Deciding to invest in your health is a big step, and it's natural to have questions.

Below are some of the ones I hear most often.

If you don't see your question here, I'd be happy to answer during a

complimentary discovery call.

What is a Holistic Nutrition Coach?

A Holistic Nutrition Coach is someone who helps you understand how your daily habits influence your overall health. While food is certainly an important part of the picture, true wellness doesn't happen on your dinner plate alone.

As a Holistic Nutrition Coach, I look at the whole person, not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. Together, we'll explore how nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, hydration, and other lifestyle habits work together to either support or challenge your body's natural ability to function well.

My role isn't to diagnose medical conditions or replace your healthcare providers. Instead, I help you identify practical, sustainable changes that fit your life and your goals. Whether you're living with chronic inflammation, autoimmune symptoms, digestive discomfort, fatigue, brain fog, or simply want to feel better in your own body, we'll work together to build habits that support long-term wellness.

There are no rigid meal plans, expensive supplements, or "perfect" diets here. My goal is to help you understand your body, build confidence in your daily choices, and create habits that you can actually maintain.

How are you different from a dietitian or nutritionist?

This is one of the questions I'm asked most often.

Dietitians and nutritionists play an important role in healthcare, and many provide excellent nutrition education. In fact, I often encourage people to take advantage of those services when they're available.

Where my coaching differs is in what happens after the appointment.

Many people leave a doctor's office or dietitian visit knowing what they should do but feeling overwhelmed about how to make those recommendations fit into their everyday lives.

That's where I come in.

Rather than simply providing information, I help you put that information into practice. Over the course of our time together, we'll identify obstacles, build realistic habits, troubleshoot challenges, celebrate progress, and adjust your plan as your life changes.

Think of it this way: Your healthcare team helps manage your medical care.

I help you build the daily habits that support your health between appointments.

The Holistic Nutrition Approach is designed to complement—not replace—the care you receive from your physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Are your services covered by insurance?

At this time, my coaching services are not covered by health insurance.

While I know that's disappointing for some people, it's also one of the reasons I'm able to offer a truly personalized coaching experience.

Insurance reimbursement often comes with restrictions on the type of services, appointment length, and frequency of follow-up that providers can offer. My focus is on building a relationship that gives you the time, support, accountability, and encouragement needed to create lasting lifestyle changes.

Throughout our 12 weeks together, we'll meet regularly to evaluate what's working, adjust what isn't, answer your questions, and celebrate your progress. You'll also receive educational resources, practical tools, and ongoing support designed to help you feel confident—not overwhelmed.

Many clients find that investing in coaching is similar to investing in a personal trainer. You're not simply paying for information; you're investing in guidance, accountability, and a structured plan that helps you finally put that information into action.

My hope is that the healthy habits you develop during our time together continue benefiting you for years to come.

Why is The Holistic Nutrition Approach an investment?

I completely understand this question.

Many coaching clients have already spent hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars on doctor visits, medications, supplements, lab testing, special diets, books, and online programs.

What they're often missing isn't more information.

It's a clear, personalized plan and someone to help them consistently put that plan into practice.

The Holistic Nutrition Approach isn't a single appointment or a meal plan. It's 12 weeks of individualized coaching, education, accountability, encouragement, and problem-solving. During that time, we'll work together to build sustainable habits around nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and gut health that fit your life, not someone else's.

My goal isn't to help you follow a program forever.

My goal is to help you build the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions long after our work together is complete.

When you invest in coaching, you're investing in skills that can support your health for years to come.

How will I know if it's working?

One of the biggest mindset shifts we make together is redefining what progress looks like. Of course, some people notice physical changes like improved digestion, fewer inflammatory symptoms, increased energy, better sleep, or weight changes. Those improvements are wonderful when they happen.

But we also celebrate the progress that often comes first.

You may find yourself preparing meals with more confidence, recognizing how stress affects your symptoms, sleeping more consistently, moving your body more regularly, or finally understanding which habits help you feel your best.

Throughout the program, we'll use simple tracking tools, including Gut Health Made Simple: Your Daily Tracker, to help identify patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. Often, clients are making meaningful progress before they even realize how far they've come.

The goal isn't perfection. The goal is building a healthier foundation that supports your body one day, one habit, and one decision at a time.

What if I need support but I'm not ready to invest in The Holistic Nutrition Approach?

That's completely okay!

Many of the people I work with aren't ready to commit to a 12-week coaching program the first time we connect. Whether you're short on time, working within a budget, or simply want to make sure my approach is the right fit, there are other ways to get started.

The Holistic Nutrition Approach QuickStart

Several times throughout the year, I open enrollment for the Holistic Nutrition Approach QuickStart—a personalized four-week coaching experience that walks you through the discovery phase of my signature program.

Together, we'll begin identifying the food and lifestyle patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms, establish a realistic starting point, and create a plan for moving forward. You'll receive individualized guidance and support throughout the four weeks, allowing you to experience my coaching approach before deciding whether you'd like to continue.

If you choose to move into the full 12-week Holistic Nutrition Approach, your QuickStart investment is applied toward the cost of the complete program.

Be sure to ask me about the QuickStart during your complimentary call.
